Human rights in the European Union
The European Union is founded on the values of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities. The Union is one of three institutions, together with the Council of Europe and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, that make up the European system for the protection of human rights.
Competition of journalists "Open eyes"
The 3rd journalism competition "Open Eyes" has started, addressed to journalists of the press, radio and television dealing with the problems of people with disabilities. The main goal of the competition is to promote the integration of people with disabilities into society.
Three journalists from Central Europe nominated for AllForJan award
The jury of the international competition AllForJan Award selected three journalists nominated for the main prize. This group included: Christian A. Leonte and Andrej Popovichu from Romania and Peter Szabo from Slovakia. The announcement of the winner of this year's contest and the AllForJan award will take place on February 23 as part of the international conference Media For Freedom Summit.
